Hi all. This may seem a silly question but as a new owner of an 09 Enfield with a lot of chrome, I was wondering the best thing to keep it gleaming. air, a proper chrome cleaner or a good quality polish. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Many thanks in advance.

The chrome plated who does all my restoration bikes advises me to use nothing but a good wax polish.

Don't use chrome cleaner unless you have to. A wax polish does the job.

Windolene window cleaner first (age old tip that really works)followed by a good quality wax. Most dedicated chrome cleaners are abrasive. Windoline polishes without abrasion. I use Maguiars Gold carnuba wax, it's expensive but goes a long way. I find a soft cheap paintbrush ideal for applying the wax to the wheel rims and fiddly bits and a microfibre cloth to polish it off. I have always used this method on my 2005 Classic ES and the chrome is still as new.
