Hello, on my bullet sixty-5 500, year 2006, I have all of sudden problems with electric start.

When I try to start a motorbike nothing happens, no sound at all, nothing. I charged battery but still nothing, no sound. What might be reason for this troubleshooting?

I can start motorcycle with kickstart. All lights and horn are working.

Starter circuit is long with many potential fault points..

You need a multimeter or at least a 12v bulb to test for voltage at points around the circuit..

Dependant upon model, the order of operation is this..

Ignition switch on. sends voltage to the starter cut off device, this may be in the left hand biscuit tin..

I say maybe because at some point in the 2000s they discontinued fitting them.. It has 5 wires including yellow and amber and is a block about 2 inches long..

With the engine stopped there should be voltage into and out of this device on a wire feeding the starter switch on the throttle assembly..

With the button pressed there should then be >12 volts DC at the starter solenoid, test between terminal and frame for 12 volts DC.

The next part of the circuit provides the earth or ground and is via either the clutch switch, (clutch lever must be pulled in to start) or the neutral switch, (gear lever must be neutral)..

Test for voltage at the switches and check ground connections to the frame..

Its unlikely to be the actual starter motor as there fairly robust, usually the starter solenoid/relay which fails.

However its important to check the whole circuit for faults rather than throw parts at it using guesswork..

Hello, I've just realised that also break light is not working when using back brake. (With front brake light turns on). And the left turning signals are not working (front and back). Right side turning signals are ok. And as I mentioned before electric start doesn't work.

Any ideas?

Don't bother. I'just realised that I disconnected by mistake some wires when I was changing front brake cable.

Thank You anyway
