A quick search of my usual supplier here in the UK says Aus $ 358 inc VAT and postage for those. But tyres are quite expensive for bikes, it always hurts when I compare with car prices! On the other hand, what is the Australian import duty for all those lovely Hitchcocks parts?!

Don't know where you are looking £155 - approx 310 Aus dollars presuming you are still around 2 dollars to the pound. I think the problem is your poor economy means the exchange rate is poor for you

If our cats don't get fed they run around the house screaming. Car tyres are cheaper due to volume of sales but decent car tyres ain't cheap and I like ones that stick to the road. Dunlop ain't Dunlop they're Sumitomo-Goodyear and could be made anywhere in the world and the quality/price will vary with region.
