I'm experiencing acasonal starting problems with my 535 Continental, due to the safety switch connected to the prop stand. At first l found it full of water that created corrosion on the contacts, it was replaced under warranty as drying it out and cleaning the contacts didn't solve the problem. Now the replacement switch has started giving me a starting problem, but this time it's the contacts in the red connector, I've pulled it apart, cleaned the contacts that puts it right for a while. I don't ride in wet conditions or get water anywhere near these parts when cleaning. I think the contacts are a bit on the weak side, not positive enough for the job they do. Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem. It's a minor problem l know, it's a great bike, really pleased with it, just covered 1500 miles

Not had the problem yet but think I will bypass it anyway. There are times I want to start the bike or leave it running on the side stand

That's ok, but if you forget to kick your side stand up and ride off, you could become a Tarmac inspecter

Mine did the same, with an aftermarket prop stand on my Classic 500. I replaced it some time ago and am now keeping my fingers crosed. -C
