Hi all I have a 350 ( 2000). After talking to hitchcocksmotorcycles today and found my coil is not connected correctly. I have one cable connected to the engine casing , told it should go to the points ?. Any help ?

Two contacts on your coil - one is 12v feed via the ignition switch. The other goes to the points housing (under the round cover behind the engine above the gearbox)
Where in Yorkshire?

Well, sort of but it's got to go through the points.
When the points open the current is interrupted in the coil primary windings which induces the high tension spark in the secondary windings.
