Hello,

does anyone have or can post a picture of the rear petrol tank mount on a 1965 Interceptor? I feel like I am missing more then just the rubber sleeve but cant find a clear picture of how it all work.

Thanks,

Take a look at the online parts book on this site it gives a detailed drawing of what's needed.

I have studied that parts book online and the one I have and the picture just isn't clear. I see the rubber and the bracket that bolts to the tank but nothing on how it secures.
All I have is the bracket bolted to my tank with two bolts facing down like there should be a lower bracket but I don't see that at all in the diagram.

No lower bracket used the clip fixed in the tank frame bridge just pushed over the rubber on the frame,

The description of the bracket states "2 piece", which it is, despite the drawing not showing the lower part. I have a new one here. The lower half completes the sandwich of the rubber round the frame spine & is secured to the upper half by two 1/4 inch nuts on fixed studs. I don't use them though, as they are a pain in the arse to fit & remove. Much quicker & easier to fit the old Connie type, a single spring clip which just lowers with the tank over the frame spine rubber. Not recommended for off road though. TTFN Jack
