I want to reposition the Footrest and rear brake on a Mk II (British) Bullet Frame for trials. Can anyone suggest the best way of doing this or have any templates please ?.

The way the Factory did it (and on the over the counter Works Replica) was to fit a flat strip (about 1" wide and 1/2" thick,) between the existing footrest hexagonal stud and the large stud at the bottom rear of the gearbox. The new footrest was then welded to this. The strip was a sort of flat S shape if you see what I mean! The Works bikes (as ridden by Johnny Brittain) then used folding footrests which were actually the same as fitted for the rider rests on the Flying Flea. This setup meant you could retain the standard kickstart lever. The Works Replica actually used a standard footrest welded on with no provision for folding, this then required the special kickstart lever which loops under the footrest, as available in the Accessory Catalogue. I have a Works Rep and also have examples of both types of footrest in my spares box.
