Has anyone any experience they can share regarding the procurement of a good looking alloy trials tank to fit the standard Bullet frame?

Its just that the one available

HERE is a bit short and high and looks like a BSA derivative.
Anyone know if other models fit or can be made to fit? Anyone got one they would like to sell? Any alternatives? Or recommendations

Cheers

I have to admit I'm not a fan of our host's trials tank either, too slim and not round enough. For some reason the version they offer for the EFI trials (93580) is a better looking piece of kit, though whether it would look as good with the funny petrol tap adapter plate is another matter.

The best alloy tanks I have seen for the Bullets were sold by Watsonian Squire in their time as the RE Importers. One was an alloy copy of the basic roadster tank, which they referred to unofficially as the Tadpole tank, the other was a copy the Greeves Scottish design adapted to fit the Bullet frame. Both had Monza filler caps, though heaven only knows where you'd find one now, as they sold out of these long before our hosts bought out their spares stash. Keep scouring ebay, Real Classic small ads and your nearby autojumbles, also anyone who has been a RE dealer for the last 15 years at least!

While you weren't asking about steel tanks, the small chrome panelled tank looks nice with the late 50's badges, particularly so with a thick and a thin gold pinstripe around the embossed section where the chrome panel sits.

The late Interceptor tanks are a pain version of these, but chromed:

i not much of a fan of the monza cap that is used on the trials tank of our host, and i find it to smal also.
especial if one use the bike on the road from time to time.

i found this tank for my own trials

it contain two liters more than our host tank, which may not seem a lot.

but this makes it that just that bit more useable on the road.

it was also half the price of our hosts tank.

direct from india

sadly is not made anymore.

if you want something else than our host tank, you’ll have to shop around and adapt.

ore get one made to your liking

Well that's pretty much the look I am after. I was wondering about some of the indian tanks on Ebay but there is a certain amount of confusion as usual! Steel tanks advertised as alloy mainly. And a number of vendors who all seem to use the same "customer service" department to answer enquiries.
Hopefully something will turn up!
