as some of you know I am new to enfield motorbikes I have a 2004 enfield thunderbird 350 and just learning about things ive had really good info on here about how to adjust things and carry out maintenance etc help needed again do you have to adjust the decompression cable now and again if so how do you do it its a bit like the handlebar clutch adjustment does it have free p0lay for instance it seems you can only adjust it at the engine

You shouldn't need to adjust this - just keep a bit of play in the cable so it doesn't tighten up at full lock which handlebar controls tend to do.
