Hello I'm in the process of replacing the main shaft of my 2003 Bullet 500cc kickstarter.

I've got the shaft out but the oil thrower, dog gear and other gear are still on the end of the old shaft. I'm wondering what is the best way to get them off so that I can transfer them to my new shaft? I assume that they press on so press off but unfortunately I don't have a press.

A 3 leg puller will get them off or sit the spacer in the open jaws of a vice and give it a wallop with a hammer using a block of wood and soft jaws to protect where needed.

The fit tends to be very variable (It's an Enfield) Some just pull off and some need pulling. Warming up the gear will help.
