Mot time again today booked for 2.00pm so out this morning to give a quick check and polish..
All lights/indicators worked, tyres pumped, steering sound, brakes and cables good..
Now it hasn't been started since Sept so expected pilot problems but old Ernie fired right up with just a bit of blue haze for a minute or so..
Feeling up beat i stuck on the crash hat and took off down the road, (Instrument check sir) as the brylcream boys used to say..
Just over a mile passed when the first cough/hesitation focused my attention. Just thinking was that my imagination when it coughed twice and backfired, then cut completely..
Did the little dance you do as you change down and hit the reserve tap at the same time........ Nothing not a bleedin dickybird..
I hate that silence at the roadside, especially when you realise you've left the mobile on the work bench, Doh!
Dont panic gwilly, logic think logic... Ampmeter slight discharge, turn off lights and it goes back to centre, good so no ignition short..
