I have been playing with the bars on my 2014 C5. Much depends on the tank, whether the controls will hit it, that tank is wide. I got some lower bars (Bullet or Electra?) from H but could not get them to a comfortable position without smacking the tank. I got the Ace bars from H for the café racer look, the rear-of-casquette fitting places the handles at the fork legs (I've got arms like a gibbon) but quickly realised the forward foot pegs were going to do my back in. If the pegs were further back à la Woodsman then it might be doable, I do not like full rearsets with my feet behind me, I like to put my weight down on them. So now I've got the stock bars back on again. I like the outer ends of the bars turned down by pulling the bars back almost as far as they'll go. Turned up end might suit a trial bike but it forces my elbows out and twists my shoulders (arthritic everything). So I ride elbows-in rather than straight-armed. Ideally I'd like to get some more weight on the front but it is at least comfortable and the bike is very stable. My all time favourite bars were Ariel 'straights' (which aren't straight) off a Red Hunter.
