Has anyone got lurking in their shed a Velocette Viper piston plus 30 or 40 in usable condition?.

I have now exhausted all the usual suppliers and have been unable to find one although one supplier was expecting new stock this month but none arrived as yet.

Dennis, what is the piston number cast inside? I'm guessing these pistons are Heplex (Hepworth and Grandage)?

Hi Mark. Velocette use pistons from Hepolite, Wellworthy, and even made their own for a time, the one I have is Wellworthy and the number is 230111, the standard size is 72mm and I could use either a plus 30 or 40thou so 72.75 or 73mm gudgeon pin size is 0.822 inch.
