Spotted this on Ebay, item number 331716736703. Seems like a good idea as many folk come on here asking! I have checked and our Hosts do not currently have these so I hope this is ok.

Thanks Mark, we have been developing a similar idea but did not know these were available. It looks like they encountered the same problem as we did with the heel of the points not fully locating on the cam. Last month we managed to overcome this and have a fully working and tested set. They are now in production but won't be available until January.

When I get enquiries to answer from the REOC about the post-war two strokes, the most common query is where to get Miller CB points. These have been unobtainable for years now, and I used to refer people to the LE Velocette club where they had someone who would do a conversion to car points (Ford Cortina orCorsair or Transit V4 s were, I believe the ones used. However, I believe the person who did this has died, so any replacements would be very welcome. Could you email me a link to those you saw on E Bay as I could not find them when I looked. Many years ago I had an RE2 with a car points conversion done by Ric Gibbon which worked extremely well.

Thanks

Did a few conversions using Honda CG125 points back in 1999. From memory it required a hole drilled and tapped and a smaller condensor.

Thanks for the information. £60 seems rather pricey, but if you have no alternative ......... Looks like there might be a possibility that the RE2, Ensign and Prince could also be done, but the CB cam is central to the recess in the generator cover on those bikes so a new backplate might be needed.
