We're all used to the old "I had one of those and that's not right" type comments, they seem to crop up with all varieties of older machine, "restored" or not. However, some of the guys over at the (otherwise excellent) War Department bike Forum have turned originality into a Nobel Prize level occupation. Have a look at this thread http://pub37.bravenet.com/forum/static/ ... 3&cmd=show which is about how to identify EXACTLY the right part for just one item in the original toolkit. Hats off to you, guys, the prize is yours! (And to be fair, I think they know quite how odd it all looks!)

REgards, Mark

Train spotters. Most of the toolkit in my old Bantam were stamped "Austin".

It was the differences between three pairs of Romac scissors that got me.

Pardon? Good grief! Those are 50s/60s school safety scissors, the bottom two have had a visit to the bench grinder. Sad bunnies
