Hello, I have Bullet army 500, Sixty 5, year 2006. I would like to change dual sit to single seat for driver. As I see on Hitchcock catalogue there's only single seat with 50's look.
As I see new Efi classic models have slightly diffetent single seats, and I like their look!
My question is: can single seats I see on new Efi classic models be also mounted on my Bullet Sixty 5, year 2006?
Thanks

The stock Classic 500 seat has a big rubber bush mounted in the middle aft of the original nose mount. There is a second 'box' on the frame behind the traditional one (not used on C5). Imo the stock seat will not fit without modification: modification would be to remove the rubber bush from the seat and replace with standard nose mount. Imo2 the stock C5 EFi seat is too high and the ejector springs are unnecessary, without the springs (tried unbolted) you can feel the road better. Steve T's seat looks good, if it looks right it probably is.

Not sure about that it may take a small pad but you can see where it ends on the first photo, there's only two bolts to remove it, if you wanted to put dual seat on, how often do take a pillion? I also took pillion footrest off as I never take a pillion, I've also put the plastic electrics cover on which tidys the view. With regard to comfort I find it good it's firm, I went for ride of 120 miles a few weeks ago total of three hours non stop riding and was pleased with the comfort level,

Steve T - which model single seat is that and how is it fitted to the frame?
Peroec - the stock C5 EFi pillion is a on rack fitted to the frame under the stock single seat and across the top of the rear shocks. That means its bars pass under the tail of the single seat a good inch above the mudguard.
The C5 EFi single seat springs have a loop on the end that bolt to a 'new' lug on the frame. I have dremelled off part of the tang on the loop allowing the rear of my seat to drop onto the pillion rack bars. I've added some sticky rubber car sill protector there to prevent chafing of the seat cover against the bars. I did not take all of the 'tang' off, just enough so that the bush now fits higher up (lowering the seat) and can't slip out.
