Hi guys,

Many thanks for all of your replies, but my 2007 RE clAssic (350) is still not working. I do not have the following;

1. No lights, indicators or horn.
2. Now the bike will not start and I do not have any spark.

Please, please help.

Cheers

Mike

Hi guys,

Just in reference to last email, the marketer needle does not move and is in the middle. Could it be the coil? If anyone can help would be most grateful.

Cheers

You will need a small test lamp...

You either have a duff fuse holder, fuse, broken power wire, faulty or disconected ign switch.

From the battery out, follow the main power wire (red) to the fuse, then to each connector along the way and confirm power at each point

From battery to the red wire at the ign switch, in and out of the switch, then to the ammeter, then follow the red/yellow then the red/white, to the coil, the flasher relay, the brake light switches, and the horn...

Personally, I hate electrical problems. Find a workshop with someone who knows about these things. Take the bike there.

Hi guys,

Many thanks for your replies. Tim are you in Christchurch NZ by any chance? I really appreciate your help but, I have not much of a clue of how to go about it.

Cheers

Gaffer, take a look at this http://www.hitchcocksmotorcycles.com/fo ... post_33735 it concerns an indicator fault but the method can be used to troubleshoot many other electrical issues. Paul.

Gaffer64 just check that during all your rummaging about you have not parted one of the connector blocks.
(It is NOT obvious if you have done so. I find disconnected them fully and pushing them back together, often puts right a multitude of problems.)

A good place to start looking would be where that spark came from when you put the tool box back. Must be a loose or damaged wire there that shorted.

2007 may be a bit late, but try looking at this wall chart for bullet electrics, its for a 1990's version
