So I finally got my bike back the other day ( it has been looked after my farther in law)
I went out for ride only a short one then after a
Few miles I came to the traffic lights and my bike stopped, no mil lights just stopped,
I tried to turn the bike over but nothing happend, just constant cranking,
So I tried the old dad full kick, but nothing.
So when I eventually pushed the bike home, luckily I was only down the road,
I've checked all the relevant connections, I've looked through the
Workshop manual, and carried out all the tests, this is where it
Gets interestin, I get the following mil lights: 4L1S, 6L6S, 1L1S, 1L5S,
So I checked all the relevant wiring to each component and disconnected
Each component I could, then the warning mil light did not come on
So I tried to start the bike but no luck.
My bike is a 2010 Electra EFI
Any help is much appreciated thanks

In order for the self diagnostic system to be of any use it must be first deployed. The procedure is to find the test pin wire and ground it out. This wire is just a short piece of wire from the ECU with a female plug on the end. You can put an alligator clip on it and then ground it. When that is done the MIL will start blinking in code to tell you what has failed.

MIL BLINK CONTENT

Engine will start but will not perform to it's potential lMIL will glow continuously.
LONG 0 SHORT 6 Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) circuit malfunctioning.
LONG 0 SHORT 9 Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) circuit malfunctioning.
LONG 1 SHORT 1 Engine Oil Temp. circuit malfunctioning.
LONG 1 SHORT 7 O2 Sensor circuit malfunctioning.
LONG 4 SHORT 5 O2 Sensor Heater circuit malfunctioning.

Engine will crank but not start.MIL will glow continuously

LONG 1 SHORT 5 Rollover Sensor circuit malfunctioning
LONG 3 SHORT 3 Injector circuit malfunctioning
LONG 3 SHORT 7 Ignition Coil circuit malfunctioning.
LONG 4 SHORT 1 Fuel pump circuit malfunctioning.
LONG 6 SHORT 6 Crankshaft position circuit malfunctioning.

Testing procedure using the test pin."

Disconnect the side stand cutout circuit before anything else, this is the cause of the majority of "won't start".

Cheers Tim, I've already tried the single pole connected,
And the L mean long blink and S short blink.
After checking and disconnecting the relevant
Faults that came up and reconnecting, then turning the
Key the mil lights dos not come on but the bike
Still did not start, after a few attempts to start the
Solid mil light came on, and upon re testing the
Single pole connected I had the same faults as listed above

Thanks again Tim

Have you tried disconnecting the Side Stand switch?

Then check the neutral switch...

the 'faults' your module are reporting is everything in the ECU, so it is either the power feed to the ECU or the ECU sensor earth

Big thanks to Tim,
After a long week at work I decided to have a crack at the
Fault and I cracked it with the help of Tim, it turns out that
The mounting plate for the ECU had cut slightly into
Two wires, so after a bit of ecce tape the mighty roar of the
Enfield coming alive.
So I cut back a bit of the mounting plate just to free up the wires
A bit. This is the second time I've had problems with the wiring
But thanks to this great website that's full of knowledgable people
I once again am riding
Cheers guys
