Looking for photos or details regarding the factory ISDT bikes of the 1950's, especially front end details; forks, wheel and hub sizes, mudguard and brackets, headlight and bracketry and instrument panel. Any assistance most welcome.

Try
Speed Track Tales, it has a whole RE page, many photos, but no diagrams, sadly. Look what I [s]lifted[/s] borrowed below.

This reminds me of a club run we had many years ago to the Bacon brothers collection, where we rode round their large back garden on some of their collection of classic bikes. One I rode was an ex works 350 trials Bullet, in the factory green. It was just like the one that photographer and trials rider Don Morley rides in a video and TV documentary, possibly Perpetual Motion.

Hi Jake,
Are you after any specific year as they vary quite a lot, I have a 1955 ssdt which has half width rear wheel, 7inch fullwidth front, nail catchers, chain oiltank through the toolbox etc. early models have external cogs to drive front wheel speedos. I have a few factory photos which give close ups. ps i have a few odds and sods if your contemplating a replica!
