Does anyone know what kind of glue is used to stick the transfers/badges onto the fuel tanks of the current B4 Bullet EFI? Mine seems to have been applied with all the care and attention of someone who doesn't like stickers, glue, motorbikes, levels, symmetry or indeed anything. The basic problem is trying to apply a two dimensional sticky thing to a three dimensional non-sticky thing. As a consequence, the edges of the sticker ruck up . I'm convinced that once water gets down there the whole thing will become detached and flap around like a kipper. I was wondering if it might be possible to detach said sticker from the tank without removing the nice shiny forest green paint and then reapply with a bit more care and attention. Alternatively removing the sticker, which is actually quite attractive, and replacing it with something else appropriate.

I thought the bullet 500 had the new version of the metal winged badge?

not sure about the glue for stickers?

Try carefully smoothing it out from the middle, going around in ever bigger circles. using the back of a very smooth tea or dessert spoon. try to smooth along the crinkles to remove them, sometimes works, sometimes not. Needs time and patience.

It would be nice if it was a metal badge but it's a very thick flexible plastic stick-on thing....

well don't rush out until others have commented, but I would suggest evostik, you coat the badge, position it on the tank and remove again, leaving glue on the tank as well. after about 5 minutes, when it almost touch dry, then get the badge in correct position, push the centre on and smooth outwards. If it really cocks-up, it can be care fully peeled off again, the glue too.

Anyone else have a different or better suggestion?

I'm thinking that if (when) they fall off I might replace them with something from our hosts....

These are the
pesky fellows. Not currently supplied by our hosts, possibly because they're a bit rubbish.

In terms of removing the badge, it's quite likely the glue is thermoplastic, so blasting it with a hair dryer for a few minutes at zero range - to it gets good and hot - may well help.

Caution with Evo/Bostic type glue, they could attack the plastic and/or the paint in the badge or tank paint, you could end up with more wrinkles than Norah Batty's stockings!
