Electra fine ,but triumph is pushing mayo out of the oil tank breather.
What
would cause this?

An incorrectly mounted, kinked, twisted or otherwise obstructed breather piping. Condensate which is being expelled from the engine is accumulating in the pipes and partially blocking them, often this is in a Low point dip in the pipes.

First up: ALL the breather pipes will need to be cleaned out, or next there will be Oil being blown into the catch-can, overflowing down the vent/drain into the primary chaincase, AND the Air filter gets showered in that phlegm froth snot!

Next the main breather pipe of the top of the oil tank has to be refitted so that there are no dips in the run up to the catch-can.

I take the main breather pipe right off, and turn it around so that the acute bend is reattached to the bottom of the catch-can, and so that the run of pipe down to the oil tank passes under the battery, over the frame bar that the gear box mounts are hung from, and straight onto the top of the oil tank It is a tight squeeze but is do-able.

Err, Tim, that is a very comprehensive reply, but did you possibly misread the question?, I have to date not found a Triumph with a breather system as you describe.

Very ambiguous query: Electra with a capital E, triumph in lower case. Some one flunked grammar me thinks.

Tigress scooter? Rocket 111? TRW side valve...

That happens to me. I go off on some long explanation, when the other party finally says, "Sorry, I meant that one, not this one. Then I feel deflated a bit!

But good explanation Tim!
