Hello
Does anyone know the original tyre size and make for a RE 125, 1945 flying flea.

I am currently rebuilding one I have just acquired.

The wheels are 19 inch and currently has Pirelli 2.50 19 14J

The current tyres are in great condition but are 40 years old and should probably be replaced.

Can anyone advise what tyres would be suitable and look right for this bike and where I can get them from?
Thanks for your help Jono

I think you need to contact Vintage Tyres, your bike would probably have had Dunlops originally and VT do some modern replicas I think. Best place to talk Fleas is with the Military boys, they are at http://pub37.bravenet.com/forum/static/ ... 39&frmid=0 and although the site is based on BSA M20s they have all sorts of bikes and there are some interesting items on Fleas if you search the Message Board. Do pop back and let us know how you get on,

REgards, Mark

The internet has a vast range of 2.50 19 tyres available in the UK. (I admit to being surprised.) It appears you will have no problem. Closest match to the tread pattern of the tyres currently fitted should be no problems either.
