hi, anyone out there know what the length of an interceptor s2 clutch cable is and where it should run. Just bought a new cable from our host and it looks at least 6" too short..maybe I'm just being stupid??

I would ask our Hosts, the cables for Interceptors do vary from early models with lower "Western" bars through to later ones with high braced bars. Having said that, I measured my Series 2 spare and the outer is 4'2" long. As to routing, just let it run in as gentle curves as you can.

Thanks chaps..the only way this clutch cable will fit is along the top rail and down between the carbs. Totally different to my series 1A. Oh well!!

I had the same problem. 6 inches too short to run the standard route. I returned it & made my own up with a Venhill kit, 54 inches long. S1A & S2 should be the same length, same bars, same route. From lever down to offside of fork yolk to front downtube (anchored with leather strap on downtube), round nearside of crankcase next to engine number, curving to gearbox.

Thanks Cleggy, I think you're right. I'll send it back and make my own. Cheers chris
