Are there any phosphor bronze components in a Royal Enfield 5 speed gearbox?

I'm second guessing here but are you going to drop in EP gear oil and concerned about attacking the bushings/bearings???

As far as i know it is a thing of the past and it will not harm any bronze if present..

I've read this somewhere from an oil company website and i'm darned if i can remember whom it was..

someone else may have the info to hand...

Needle roller bearings, even on the sleeve gear, rather than bronze bushes. All the parts diagrams are here: http://www.hitchcocksmotorcycles.com/pa ... ra_%28X%29_

Whatever happened to using sawdust and mashed-up bananas in a 50/50 mix for a quieter gearbox? New-fangled oils, BAH!
