BEWARE Speedos

Does anyone know if our hosts MPH speedos record mileage and not kilometres as bought a MPH speedo of eBay and that records kilometres instead of miles. Contacted seller and that's how they are apparently no mention of that in the advert,it wasn't expensive but still not a happy bunny.

Yes it's a logical result of just,swapping the dials without any other internal mods. Either that or some boffin had the idea that they sure calibrate the odometers to 5/8ths of a mile.

I have a MPH Speedo from Mr H, I am pretty sure the odometer records in miles not Km.

The original fitted on my Royal Enfield sportsman from new is in MPH on dial but records distance in kilometres. The one I brought from hitchcocks is all in MPH both distance and speed.

P/s if you look just under the mileage Numbers it usually says Mileage or Kilometres.

I have a white faced Speedo that I got from our hosts and it clearly states Miles just over the odometer numbers. It certainly records miles rather than moms.
