Craig, all I really want to know is what the clutch looks like, because I can't find a picture of one anywhere and also the clutch operating rod seems to be missing on every exploded drawing I can find. (I am going to fit our hosts operating rod end with thrust bearings, and the workshop manual is as much use as a chocolate fireguard.)
Thus far every spanner job I have carried out looks nothing like the manual, but in this case there is nothing in the manual.

Hi Papa When I sorted mine out I checked the Plates and Fitted a New Rod (Two Part) i think i put an extra ballbearing on the Rod and it worked a lot better (I took some photos all along the way,Just dont know how to post them here) all in all I just followed my instinct and found it an easy Job, and very mater of a fact to strip/rebuild etc..I did Not remove the Clutch Basket so No special Tools needed and "Once the Experts pointed out the Missing Nut" every thing worked out Ok...
I did fit the Improved Clutch Opp Arm at the same time,. :0)

Craig that is what is driving me nuts, I can find no picture/exploded view, list of parts for the clutch operating rod anywhere. When I spend out what is a lot of money for a workshop manual I really do expect such an important part to be shown in the manual somewhere. It isn't.

If it is the same edition as mine then section 5 pages 3 and 4 describes clutch disassembly with pictures showing the rod bearing assembly.
