what a brilliantly simple engine the 500 bullet is..after getting back the reworked cylinder head yesterday, an hour of tinkering saw her fire first kick and tick over nicely. I'd never checked the tappet gap till then..adjusted it and it's lovely and quiet now.

I now have to refit the exhaust.. it is obviously just a 'push' fit, but does anyone use any type of sealant on it?

Just a little bit of bathroom silicone sealant. No, it doesn't burn off. Choose your own colour! atb, Chris

There must still be huge stocks of avacado RTV unsold now that style of bathroom suite has fallen from favour, they ought to be giving it away...
