Hi all Have got front wheel out to setup TLS brake, and was going to change fork oil at same time, however the nut on the bottom of the fork leg continually turns, so as I've got the wheel out would it be simpler to take fork leg out and turn upside down to drain them? What do you think, I don't really want really go into a big job that could wait until winter.

I would remove the cap nut with the wheel in situ. If the cap nut is just turning then I being a brutal sort of old sod would put a ring spanner on it & smite it sharply with a moderately sized thumping tool

Bryan thank you for your quick reply, have been down the workshop and given said nuts a wallop😆 ,
And managed to get them free. Had a look in the manual and it says to push the thread up into the fork leg to get the residue of oil out do you do this? Or just refill, I have measured what came out and it's approx 180 ml.

I'd push the stud up to drain the oil as the book states. You will encounter the same problem when you refit the nut. I swift clout with a wallet should do it. If not, put the wheel back in and get some tension on the springs with a ratchet strap.

Hi guys thanks for all the comments have done it now, left it a couple hours to drain then went again to push the studs up into the legs but no more came out even though I pushed them quite high through the bottom, filled with ATF, will be ready test when my brake parts come from our hosts to sort my front TLS.
