What a great weekend and thanks to the Wiltshire branch for organising such a good event. Overall my old iron 500 did around 470 miles over the weekend, much of it cruising at 60mph on the motorway. Apart from a broken kickstart return spring, and a flat battery (my fault) the bike ran like clockwork, so I'm glad to report no snapped rods or decapitated pistons

I second that, the Wiltshire Branch did a great job, such a big Rally needs a lot of organisation and they all worked really hard and long hours. The end result was lots of fun all round! Two spells of rain including a huge thunderstorm Friday night didn't spoil the fun as they happened late in the evening. Some great bikes there, too many to list but highlights were the 50s competition Enfields and the presence of the great Johnny Brittain and to add to the fun Steve Cotrell fired up the racing 250 Enfield this morning and gave it a run round the site. It revs to 9,500 rpm and regularly wins races. The ride back was fun but uneventful for me and I even got back to my village near Silverstone in time to miss the hoo-ha around the stupid Grand Prix! It was great to meet you Chris, glad you made it home ok, see you again sometime!

I am glad Steve Cotrell made it to this event with his Crusader racer, we had also hoped to attend with our race bikes and join him, but, sadly the 500 is still partly dismantled, awaiting new valves which we had hoped would have made it to us in time to attend with this machine back in running order and the 350, which is [just] ready to race once more. My apologies to anyone who may have been looking forward to seeing these machines. Regards, Paul.

I am no good at adding pictures, so try this link to our Flickr site which will, I am quite confident, have more photos added soon.

Carl is correct. Just uploaded another batch of photos.
The videos (including the ones taken from the drone) will take a couple of days to appear as they have to be edited to 90 second chunks.

I can only echo what others have said, so much work undertaken by Wiltshire REOC but they put on a great show from start to finish, the Burlesque being a brilliant surprise element & time on the dance floor in that heat shed pounds that I would have otherwise struggled to lose! I even won a trophy - thanks for posting pics Carl.
Us Kent members each pretty much matched Chris Tindalls mileage, though between us we managed 1 partial engine sieze (freed off then seemed o.k.), dropped off speedo cable, running out of petrol, one very clattery engine (head about to come off) & a backfiring Super Meteor. Was it all worth it? YES.
Shame I didn't get to match a face to some names posted on here, though I'm sure we must have spoken.
Lets hope we can find a venue for two years time - will be a hard act to follow.
