I have a 2013 Bullet EFI. I have been told with very regular oil and filter changes I should get 30 to 40,000 miles before any major engine work will be needed. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

I've achieved that sort of mileage more than once on early indian "iron barrels" with proper running-in and use so it ought to be possible with a modern engineered machinery. You have to realise though that it ain't a modern beesa goldstar and it will certainly not do 100 mph for mile after mile in the outside lane of the motorway whatever the over optimistic speedo might tell you. Keep to sensible 60 ish speeds and I'm sure she'll go for years.

30 to 40,000 miles?
well I guess you have already done the 30 miles, so anytime now then!
No seriously, the EFI's have auto primary chain tensioners and hydraulic tappets, so less maintenance to do.

Thanks for replys regarding longevity. Mine has only done 4,000 miles so far, I intend to keep it for a long time yet.
