I have built a pre 65 trials bike out of a 1956
350 cc Model G, 1956.
My question is I can see that the exhaust valve pushrods
Has a thick steel washer on it but can someone
Describe how the exhaust valve lifter should work.
My bike hasn't got one but I want to try and
Fabricate one.
Doing trials it is handy to slow descents down steep
Sections via a decompressor.
I don't want to modify the head to take a spark plug
Hole type device.
I can use a square of mild steel as a tapper cover
But need to know what needs to connect to the
Exhaust pushrod.
If anyone has one a photo would be appreciated
Thanks
Steve

Well spotted Vince, Just marvellous there remaking that part..
Would be a task to try and make something similar from lumps of steel..

I may be wrong, as oft times before, but I thought decompressors only worked as engine brakes on two strokes.
