The GPS (Tomtom Rider) was a Christmas present and it came without a headset for the helmet. It's taken a while but I found one today that is universal. The only real hassle was setting the wiring up inside the helmet. It worked immediately, no fuss, no faffing about.

It all works a treat.. I've even solved the problem with the GPS cutting out.. I just set it to not switch off if power from the main feed is cut off.

One happy bunny over here...

I have something very similar which works very well the only problem is you will not have the excuse of riding the bike to not answer your phone, worst of all you do not know who is calling in my case it could even be he wife

It's illegal to drive and use the phone over here Les.. Although I could couple it up to my smart phone, I decided not to.. I carry the phone with me in case of accident, breakdown or needing help, but I reckon that by then, I'd be stopped anyway.

The main thing is, that I got it to work.. woohoo..!!

Is it illegal even with a hands free? I got a Nolan helmet with the definite intention of getting a hands free set up and then a mate of mine said "do you really want telephone calls distracting you when you're riding?" Never fitted the N Com system after all.

Its allowed to use a handsfree system in the UK, but a handheld mobile is a very big no no.

To many accidents have been caused by them so I just leave it in my pocket.

Not illegal in a car with hands free.. but I wouldn't even want it on the bike...

Actually, it's a problem with these mobile telephones and cars. Even if you spot someone using them while they are driving, you technically break the law if you phone the police to report them if you are also driving.... Another thing that should be illegal is driving with these stupid earbud things in your head.. especially in the case of joggers and cyclists..
