Well, I got the Connie running today. It took a lot of fruitless kicking until I swapped the plug leads over, never forget the obvious! I bought the engine as "rebuilt" some time back but it needed a bit of going over to get it together properly. It's pissing oil from both rocker feed pipes (I didn't do that bit,) but at least we have progress at last. It's been sitting on the hydraulic lift reproaching me for ages, now I can put it to one side and get on with something more urgent for this year's Rallies!

Mark, will it be ready for the Yellow Belly Rally then?

Sadly no Yellow Belly as I have to attend a big birthday (not mine!) the weekend of the 6th June but I will do the Interceptor, International and Home Counties Rally. Especially the last as I'm organising it! Don't know if the Connie will be finished by then as there is much to do on other bikes!
