Why a siamese exhaust system?

Well one reason could be so you don't have to take off the left pipe and silencer and both footrests on a Twin (a Mk1 Interceptor in this case,) to remove the primary cover! Annoys me every time...

A well made Siamese exhaust system, can make a big improvement to performance, especially mid range pulling.

I like the look of the siamese pipes on Enfields, much better shape than AMC or BSA. I have a set on my Connie and a spare set somewhere that I might try out (just for looks) on the Mk 2 Inter when I get the heads on. (Yes Ed, I'm getting on with it, honest!!!)

Because it is PIA to keep the left pipe & silencer clean & rustfree on an outfit
