Anyone know what the spare female plug is for behind the toolbox cover on my 2010 Electra EFI, is it an accessory plug or should it go somewhere? also where the fuses are held behind the left hand cover the fuses are held in place by rubber retainers that clip onto a small bracket, I can't find these on this site, mainly because I don't know what they are called or find a part no, so if someone knows? this bike is new to me so over the next week or so I will be finding my way around the bike and probably asking quite a few question Thanks.

It's the 'K-Line' connector, which is where the dealer plugs their diagnostics kit to read out and reset the error codes in the ECU. You should also find a single-wire connector, which you connect to earth to read out the error codes on the MIL lamp.

Reply to Papsmurf, No, the plug is just hanging, Thack mentions a single wire, the only single one is a purple wire beneath seat. how does connecting this to earth give a read out? I have also changed two 30amp fuses to 20 as the hand book say's it should be,the holders have been changed to blade holders, or is 30 ok?

Use 20A fuses! In fact, use 15A if you have any... why do you need new fuse rubbers?

Rosy is it connected to the electrical system of the bike. (A diagnostics connecter is normally a three pin , IF Enfields are like everything else with as diagnostics connector.

RoSy, here are the connectors on my bike (a 2014 B5). The larger one is the K-Line connector for the diagnostics tool, the single one is the one you earth to get the error codes.



I'm not sure what you mean when you say "how does connecting this to earth give a read out?". Maybe I wasn't clear.



1/ Turn on the ignition and wait for the fuel pump to stop.

2/ Connect that wire to a convenient point on the chasis.

3/ Observe the MIL lamp and note down the long/short flash sequences (which will repeat indefinitely).



Are either of these like the connector you are asking about?
