Hello guys----------- A little something to do when out riding with the "lads" during Summer. This has nothing to do with fights on the beaches at Hastings in the 1960's but just a general competition to see if there does exist that V. rare bird in our world known to Bill Oddie as the Bulletus, No Modicus. Urban legend would have you believe that somewhere--"out there" lurks a Royal Enfield Bullet that was bought from the dealers, ridden home and has NEVER been modified in any way whatsoever. YES !! I kid you not---apparently it's true. Also our hosts would VERY MUCH like to meet the owner for obvious commercial reasons. SO, if you have any photos or links please post them here. Remember---absolutely NO MODS at all to qualify.

Hi Alan
Just to start "Your Ball" Rolling..After Having a Much Modified (Spent a lot) 500 in 93, I gained a 350 STD 98 (India Home Mkt) in 2001 ish and have run her as She is fo 35,000 Miles No Problem (One De Coke) Have I Changed Ow't??

Well Several Sets of TT100s Tiers ,Trials Type Bars, and Service Items Thats It...
Only Failure Is Wheel Bearings Changed Front and Back.

Used Every day 25Miles, Toured Scotland & Wales The dragon on Her... Reliable, Nice, & Slow. The Money I have saved over 10 Years Has Enabled me to Buy/Dabble with the Odd 2nd Bike.... But my 350 "Bessie the Bullet" is Fine.

Then again I also Had a 2002 500 for 3 years That I used And abused as Back up and Other than Eat Spark Plugs was OK.
"LEAVE THEM STANDARD...Change the oil BUT USE EM' Daily"

Cheers All...Crtaig

My 51 is as close to stock as I can make it but whilst all the equipment is the right era a lot of it has been assembled from different sources as it had been badly restored in the past and needed the right 276 long throat carb and other similarly difficulty bits. The right era Smiths Chrono also springs to mind. I suppose though you are referring more to the unmolested walking wounded original like a 53 Meteor that I tried to buy once.
