EFI - ECU mapping

Hello everyone; hope you're all enjoying this better weather.

At a bike show recently an Enfield owner told me I could have my EFI 're-mapped' and gain a substantial performance improvement.

I would be grateful to hear from anyone who has had this done and what benefits (or problems) they experienced.

Also, any information on who might undertake this work and what I might expect to pay would be welcome.

Many thanks.

Happy summer riding.

I didn't think the ECU on ours was remappable, although I've heard differing stories about that.

I don't know of anyone offering a remapping service, so I doubt very much it can be done. Usually, if it's possible, someone will be offering the service.

Perhaps the guy was referring to the Power Commander V, which - to all intents and purposes - has much the same effect and will indeed increase the performance considerably.

Be aware that you should declare that to your insurance company.
