Hi another question.!

I need to ditch the clocks from an electra. I was going to run without clocks as its ok on mot but realised still a legal requirement on the road.

Therefore I want to fit a small speedo. Is this as easy as taking the big one off and attaching the new one to the same cable or am i going to come across complications?

Thanks

Alex

You could fit a cycle speedo.

Hi Alex

As you might guess, I've done this (more than once) and moved the speedo gearbox from the front to the rear (less cable being my thing).

The mini-speedos and speedo drive gearboxes have inconsistent drive patterns, but Venhill will make you what you need, at moderate cost, no problem.

Should have said that the speedo now sits here.

Count I am still ready to buy your bike - fancy a swap with a 2008 classic in 50s trim with 4 gallon tank, panniers and dual seat??!!

Well, it's a tempting offer but... :-)
