Hi,

I have a 2007 350cc Indian Bullet. Have just been setting up the TLS front brake and noticed that the lower brake arm trunnion is not threaded. On P36 of the 2003 bullet guide Item 16 (142863)is listed as having a RH thread.

Was this changed by 2007, or have I got a non standard part here??

Thanks in Advance

Andy

Hi Andy, All is normal, just previous owner has carried out the hitchcocks mod to enable independent adjustment of the brake shoes..

The right hand thread one is drilled and fitted at the top..The bottom one remains left hand thread. Top one should be locked up with a nylock nut or similar.

Hope TimNZ doesn't see this as he gets upset...

Hi Gwilly,

Thanks very much. That explains the situation... The RH threaded nut was at the top originally, and I just thought the previous owner had fitted the brake rod upside down!! Will pop out and turn things round!! :-)
