Crankshaft timing gear

Hey does anybody know which way round the timing gear on the crankshaft goes as it has the two
dots both sides , one side is flat and the other side has the counter sink , this for a 1995 bullet

Only go on one way Phil it has a taper

As if that would stop someone from fitting it the wrong way around? Just need a bigger hammer.

Read a joke the other day, BMW pulls up to a broken down Enfield by the side of the road, Enfield owner asks if he can borrow a spanner, BMW owner asks what size, Enfield owners says it doesn't matter, I just want to use it as a hammer
