Hi all can any one tell me how to get the cam chain adjuster tightening to the left, I have spent hrs trying every which way, when it dose go left the chain is to slack, the new chain off our hosts seems to be the correct item

Hi Bluey, it sounds as if you have the adjuster quadrant and spindle in the wrong way round. It's difficult to describe here but there is a very good illustration of the correct and incorrect assembly in the Workshop Manual which I suggest you buy!

Thanks Mark, that's the problem I have the correct manual and all the info with diagrams of our hosts site, but still am unable to get it working as the book and photo describe, this is my 3rd attempt having spent about 3hrs each time, it was adjusting the wrong way according to the book when I pulled the eng down, ahh well ile try again to morrow
