Hi guys,
I have a 2005 Classic 500 Bullet and will shortly be fitting a 5-speed g'box in place of the standard 4-speed unit..I also have the R/H conversion kit from our hosts to go with it

Is there any existing wire in the loom that I can use to operate the neutral switch with or would it be simpler just to wire a new lead in from the fuse ??....Cheers.

if you have a electric start model the wire should be there.



if its a kickstart only model, you’l have to wire it up.

Hi Alan, anything is possible with the wiring loom, what I would look for is a brown down near the rear of the gearbox somewhere not connected to anything, then try and find the other end of it in the wires coming up to the left hand switchblock which would be connected to the clutch switch, if it has a clutch switch fitted. I assume your bike was fitted with an Electric start, if not these wires may not be in the loom

sorry--- should have made it clear---it's a classic 500 with kick-start only ie}--- NO electric "leg"..
