Quick question - which isn't as dumb as it may seem. Well, OK. It may be.

I'm converting Slo Poke ('96 Bullet) back from custom footpegs to the standard items. Does the longer of the footpegs go on the left or the right?

Thanks in advance.

Iain

I would say the longer one goes on the same side of the exhaust.

Except the primary chain case sticks out further.

Don't they come forward of their spindle? Should obvious.

By looking at "Parts Books Online" so kindly supplied by your host would have immediately given you the answer.

Nice parts book, lots of pictures, nice numbers, but after 15 minutes, I got no clue.

My question is also 'which side does the long one go on?'

Exactly, Scalyback

I did all of that and it isn't obvious.

The shorter one with the tighter bend goes on the brake lever side the other one...well that is obvious.

Quite right Simon
Sticking rigidly to the year of manufacture then I agree the parts book is not very clear but, move on to more recent years and the drawings are unequivocal & you will notice that all the part numbers are identical.

Hi all, Simon has it called. The short one with the long spacer goes to the left hand side and the long one with the short spacer goes to the right hand side. Ian.
