30 will be fine however your generally want oil with an anti foaming additive in in for fork use. You should be able to purchase fork oil at any decent motorcycle shop or probably via post from our hosts. Harley's use 20 grade fork oil I believe so don't give up looking yet.

I also see that most people say to add 200ml of oil in each fork , and also there are those who say , pour it in the top and let it run out the bottom , and replace the plugs when it stops running out, any ideas ?
Thanks

If the Model G forks are the same or very similar to the Bullet forks then you take out the two screws located about three inches from the bottom rear of the fork stanchions and pour oil in the top until it begins to pour out from the holes.

So called 'fork oil' is hellishly expensive for hydraulic oil.
#46 hydraulic oil is all that you need. Works find in wet clutch's too.

Thanks Simon , my forks have the oil fill at the top of the tubes and the drain plugs are on the bottom of the fork leg right where the stem comes out the bottom of the tube.

The level plugs set the levels. Buy 1/2 a Litre and top them up till it comes out the holes. That is the amount you put in. It's probably 180 to 200 mls but 500mls is more than enough for both legs.
