The number you given is a high compression piston is that correct. I've used standard European ones in 350s with no problems but not High Comp.

Disregard my last post I was confusing. I was meaning 500s not 350s. I've only used the standard European replacement pistons in 500s not 350s. Too much Ale for lunch.

I haven't used this piston but if you're wanting to know what is the reason for the lack of a slot at the front it's for additional strength. The slot was originally intended to allow the piston to flex to reduce "piston slap" which is the noise made by a cold engine. The downside is the piston is weaker which is why you usually only find the slot on low comp pistons. REgards, Mark

I believe this is the piston I put in a Super Star that I rebuilt a few months ago, bike goes exceptionally well, really surprised me, I then fitted a close ratio gear set in it and the owner is really happy with it. I have ridden behind him and I'm impressed with the performance from a 350.

I've put this piston in a couple of machines and it has proven to be excellent. Sturdy and nicely finished and the extra 1.5 atmospheres really makes a difference with the rest of the breathing sorted out.
