Is there a fitment for a 1959 250 Crusader. I have spoken to Boyer and they have a sensor plate to fit but are not sure if the rotor will fit without modification and suggested I contact you.

I would think they meant to ask Hitchcocks, rather than the forum, after all, they do sell the Boyer ignitions.

They probably did but I can't find a contact link on the web site so I thought I'd try this. I also forgot to mention that it needs to be 12v positive earth.

Hi.
I used Boyer's inductive discharge ignition on my 1961 Crusader,. This works fine and is easy to fit. It saved all the hassle of fitting a full electronic ignition and does away with the unreliable condenser.

Yes I was thinking of going down that route myself. I'm seeing a lot of arcing across the points and intermittent sparking at the plug so I suspect the condenser.

KG your capacitor is shagged & needs to be replaced at a lot less cost than going the electronic route
Leon F the "unreliable condenser" is usually either the New Old Stock or the unknown item that came with the basket case/ allegedly restored to original spec machine that is well past its sell by date, modern capacitors are good.
