Hi,
Yrs ago had a Honda 175 with a K&N type filter that I seem to recall could (had to be) oiled when in use. It was a 'cone' shape not dissimilar to the hosts S&B.

Do the S&B filters need oiling, and if so with what? and how often?

The instructions that came with my S&B states that the filter only needs oiling if used in extremely dusty conditions. Having said that, I have a K&N on another bike, which is oiled. I don't understand why there should be a difference - one of life's mysteries!
