I have been looking at connections for the electronic ignition. In the instruction leaflet it says, quote:

"Disconnect point feed wire into the distributor" - and - "On machines fitted with a kill switch this will be a red and black wire."

Unquote.

Mine appears to be black and white, not red and black. Or am I making some great mistake in believing that this is the wire to connect to the Boyer? That is, using the disconnected end from the points feed and connection to the unit? Or should I be looking for something else?

Electrickery is not my forté... especially not on motorcycles.

I just spoke with Wayne at Hitchcocks.. Helpful chap. This is the wire, even if it is black and white. The picture helped, saying a thousand words in itself.

Problem solved.

And thanks to Dennis for giving me the idea to ring.. I should have thought of that myself...!!
