Removal of Casquette Ignition Switch Plate

Hi ! As I am giving my bike a Retro Makeover,
I will be moving the ignition switch to the side box, I have removed the actual switch but am unsure about the removal of the chrome switch plate, can anyone help ? also does anyone know where I might get an a new "old " style ignition switch plate.
Thanx for any help ...

page 85 of the 2014/2015 Bullet catalogue on this site shows a plate and ignition switch if needed.



The back plate may not be good if you have the indian curved lid toolboxes. I tried one on mine, but it stuck out at the front and was too thick to try and curve to follow the contours. I have no experience trying it out on the Redditch flat lid toolboxes.

Hi Scalyback....

I'm actually putting the ignition switch in place of the old battery cut off switch as I am moving that to a more concealed place, and changing that to a different type of switch altogether , so won't be a problem with the fitting, though I know what you mean, thanx for the info on back plate ! :-)

just tap it out from the inside.





to lengthen the cable to the sidebox you will need one of these(4way).

out host does not have this you'l find them at vehicle wiring products.

Yes that's the plate ! thanx for the info :-D
