It is time to replace, I'd also be looking at the sprockets too. Chain & sprocket sets are available see 2014/2015 Bullet catalogue page 163

It depends by how much. If as it reads you can pull it right off the rear of the sprocket then yes, replacement is long overdue. The service limit is 5mm pull off, about half a tooth or diameter of a pencil. There was movement in mine from new.

I think were all talking to ourselves about adjusting chain tension using the back wheel.

I have 50,000ks on the chain on my Honda and it is still going strong and I don't expect to have to replace it for quite a while yet, but quality costs money and I have only adjusted the chain once in that time

I had a good quality o-ring chain for around 20-25000kms, perhaps a bit more (I work in miles, but tthought I shoudl keep Norm happy!) Around 15000 miles or thereabouts. I replaced it with a cheaper option, non-o-ring. It lasted 6000kms (maybe 4000 miles) and needed adjusting every other week. I have since replaced it with an o-ring version again, not put many miles on it (maybe 1000-1500)... but haven't had to adjust it yet. Moral = pay more for a chain, it'll last longer if you maintain it, and cost you less in the long run :)

Michael the Supersport boys think I am being too soft on the old Honda, I have 30,000ks on the rear tyre and it isn't showing too much wear I would think possibly another 20,000 left in it. Did over 50,000ks on the front tyre and that was on the bike when I bought it.
